From renewable feedstocks to sustainable construction solutions.
From renewable feedstocks to sustainable constrHIBISCUS develops a new generation of high-performance, circular, bio-based materials for the construction sector, combining renewable chemistry, recycled feedstocks, and advanced functionalities such as fire resistance, waterproofing, and mold protection.uction solutions.
HIBISCUS develops next-generation sustainable construction solutions by designing both bio-based waterproofing membranes and wood-fiber insulation panels. The high-performance membranes replace fossil-based materials (bitumen, PVC) using waste cooking oils and pine-based resins to reach over 80% bio-based content, while improving durability, carbon footprint, and recyclability. In parallel, 100% bio-based thermo-acoustic insulation panels are produced from agricultural residues and lignin-based adhesives, enhanced with bio-based mold-resistant treatments and flame retardants to deliver safer, healthier, and longer-lasting building materials.
Isocyanate-free, bio-based insulation foams combining performance and safety.
Â
HIBISCUS develops next-generation NIPU panels with over 60% biobased content, delivering excellent thermal insulation while removing hazardous isocyanates.
Â
Made from renewable carbonates, amines, and lignin-based fire retardants, these lightweight foams offer a sustainable, high-performance alternative for greener building envelopes.
Bio-based, circular window frames combining performance, design, and sustainability.
Â
HIBISCUS develops new carpentry solutions made of up to 80% biobased components (including 35–60% waste-derived content) to replace PVC and aluminum frames.
Â
Using advanced PUR foams and VOC-free coatings, these windows offer superior insulation, durability, and recyclability, reducing the carbon footprint of modern buildings.
